Resale Housing Sales On The Rise Nationally
Sales activity on the national scene here in Canada has increased for the third month in a row. acording to statistics released by The Canadian Real Estate Association. This echos the Toronto Real Estate Board Statistics - October 2010 that showed us getting back on track to a more normalized Market with average selling prices, monthly sales and sales to listings ratios all headed up.
" Three-quarters of local markets posted monthly increases in seasonally adjusted activity in October, led by Toronto and Vancouver." creanews.ca
This is another sign that our markets are returning to somthing closer to normal activity after last falls and early springs abnormal surge in home sales. Many believe that low interest rates are one of the keys to the improving sales numbers
"The continuation of low interest rates is supporting sales activity, which has been improving over the past few months in a number of major markets including Vancouver," said Georges Pahud, CREA's President

Kathy,
I think that a lot of the bad news was not really bad news at all, it was predictable and expected.
Brian
Kathy...well that IS good news; may it continue for all involved. Also hope that Brian's note above will prove to be accurate. Naturally, also am wishing that will be the case here in the Southern section of North America LOL.
Have a great week. [sorry this is one day late--having difficulties getting on-line at times] [[no blame--just mentioning-LOL]]
Barb & Sal
Brian - only good news here
Barb And Sal - You have had a fair bit of good news on the employment side of things lately so the rest should follow
Normal activity is good. I'm happy with that. I need you to go and see if you can solve my Name That Photo post. I know of all people you will be able to. One person does have one of them right but I just haven't commented back yet.
Jenny - good memory but it was years and I do mean years ago that I was in Stratford
Kathy, I sense the market is getting back to normal in Newfoundland too. Its been too hot for a while now.
Greg - a 'normal' market is good for all concerned it provide an opportunity to buy or sell with out being under undue pressure to do either at an inflated or deflated price.
Kathy - things have quietened down here these last 2 weeks, so we're hoping it will pick up again soon.
Cheers!
David
David - Our local Uxbridge market activity has picked up in the last couple of weeks
Kathy, always feels good when the market is good, let's hope the momentum remains.
